This map grid identifies the spatial bounds of each mapsheet, with coverage for the entire province.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The following forest inventory vector map products are available:</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>UTM Inventory </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>contains basic timber and site information created from photo interpretation and stratified sampling using data collected between 1970 and 1995. Covers the full extent of the commercial forest.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>SFVI Inventory </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>(Saskatchewan Forest Vegetation Inventory) is based on imagery from 1996-2008. Use of this product is restricted, and coverage is limited to the Prince Albert Timber Supply Area.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>FRI Inventory </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>(Forest Resource Inventory) contains recent information on the general land cover, terrain, and growing stock (height, diameter, basal area, timber volume and stem density) within the provincial forest and adjacent forest fringe.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>UTM_MAPSHEET, SFVI_MAPSHEET, and FRI_MAPSHEET attribute fields identify the available map products for each mapsheet.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN>Declination is calculated using the latest magnetic reference field models (last updated in 2023).</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

The original version was rebuilt and combined with ForestInventoryGrid layer in 2021 to effectively link UTM, SFVI and FRI DPF maps on Sask Interactive and GeoHub. Attributes were standardized, necessary attribute fields were added, and redundant fields were removed. Mapsheet boundaries that appeared to have shifted out of position were corrected. This issue may have arisen from converting shapefiles to a geodatabase and/or transitioning from NAD27 to NAD83 in the past.
