Its data has been derived from drilling projects associated with exploration, development, production and/or research of the provinces resources, including the drilling for metallic or industrial minerals, precious stones, building materials, coal, peat, petroleum, gas or geoscience purposes. This layer (feature class) has been symbolized on the basis of where the drillcore is stored. Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) assets stored at the ‘Regina Subsurface Laboratory’ and the ‘La Ronge Precambrian Lab’ may be accessed by the public. Note that some drilling methods are not designed for core recovery and although these records will not have a storage location defined in the “Storage Location” field, they are included in this dataset and part of the ‘other’ symbol category. </SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>This drillhole dataset is extracted quarterly from the Saskatchewan Drillhole Database, which undergoes continuous updates as a result of additions due to the expiry of confidentiality periods, additions of historic datasets, as well as updates and corrections to previous entries as part of quality assurance and quality controls processes. Generally, only non-licensed potash and petroleum and gas wells are present in this dataset.
