Description: The Air Quality Section of the Ministry of Environment and the Canadian Air and Precipitation Monitoring Network (CAPMoN) operate a network of wet deposition monitors in Saskatchewan. The Wet deposition program is designed to help understand the variations and the relative importance of sulfuric and nitric acids to precipitation acidity across the province. The data is used to monitor changes and trends in the quality of precipitation in the province and to determine the effects of wet deposition of chemical species on the environment.
